Compression garments
Do you need compression garments?
Under the South Australian Compression Garment Scheme anyone who is diagnosed with lymphoedema can access 2 free compression garments per affected body part, every 6 months. If you have private insurance which covers garments, these funds will be used first.
At Lymphoedema Wellness we can prescribe, measure for, and order the appropriate garment for you. It can be custom made or off the shelf, nighttime garments or compression wraps, we help you get it right.

Kinesiology taping and PBM (low-level laser) therapy is also available, and garment recommendations and measurements.

Taping will incur an extra $5 cost, to cover the materials used.

Follow up appointments can also be booked for clients that have no immediate signs of lymphoedema. These appointments include measurements and tracking, continuing education and goal setting.

Laser only appointment
Sometimes a course of more frequent laser treatments may be recommended to get on top of symptoms quicker. This is a short appointment specifically for this purpose.

Pump only appointment
An appointment for use of the Lympha Press intermittent pneumatic compression pump + upper body garment (torso/arm). Time includes setup and 55 minutes on pump.

New treatments

Lymph taping
and
PBM -photo bio modulation (low level laser therapy)
as part of your treatment.
Lymph taping techniques will extend the benefits of the treatment you receive in the clinic, for up to a week (or sometimes longer). I can also teach you how to self-apply at home.
Low level laser therapy is a fantastic tool for reducing acute and chronic inflammation and pain. It has been shown to be beneficial in the management of lymphoedema and many other conditions.
